OMSI的发行商aerosoft的网站上在发售后随即公布游戏配置：
系统要求： 操作系统：Windows XP/Vista/7
处理器（CPU）：2.6GHz
RAM 内存：2 GB内存
显卡：GeForce ®系列 或 ATI ®的Radeon 任何拥有256MB显存的显卡
附加条件：DirectX 9.0c或更高
安装完成后大小：2 GB的
下载文件大小：720 MB的
但是由于发行商的服务器问题，暂时不提供线上下载游戏demo文件，但不是不提供，游戏下载版激活方式采用其他游戏普遍使用的线上激活方式，相信很快就有破解版
另外宣布一个好的消息，官方人员透露说，他们正在着手对德文版游戏及使用手册等进行英文翻译，预计两周后完成，英文版demo也将免费提供下载，不过官方也放出了游戏语言翻译教程，有兴趣的可以试下，以下是原文：
Hello!
So because somebody may be interested in translating OMSI and today is the first day to get it, I just want to tell it:
You will find a subdirectory with the name "Languages". There you will find some files with the extension "olf". These files can be opened as tab stop separted text files with e.g. excel or just with notepad.
Now you just have to copy "DEU_basic.olf", "DEU_key_game.olf" and "DEU_key_veh_gen.olf" (or these ones with "ENG") and rename them in that way, that the first three letters are the identifiers for your favourite language.
Now open them and look around: in the first line, there is also the three letter ident of the language - change it to your language.
Then following are quite a lot keywords (first column), than a tab stop and after that the text which will be displayed. THIS text you have to change! But don't change the first column with the keywords.
